Access to the dome can only be obtained via two metal, grated ladders.
Small children, people with mobility problems, and people afraid of heights may not wish to visit the dome.
Such visitors are of course still very welcome, and can simply engage with the speaker are generally astronomical discussions with members of the UMBC Faculty, Staff, and Students.
