Events
Anyone from the UMBC Campus & surrounding community is invited to events held by the UMBC Observatory.
We have public events geared toward astronomy education — these are scheduled monthly Open Houses. More information about these can be found by navigating to the “Outreach” menu tab above.
We also have special events focused on high-profile astronomical events, you can follow our myUMBC Page for events and other related postings.
Facility Visits
If you and your friends, a research group, organization, student groups (K-12 or higher education), or any other group is interested in the astronomy conducted at UMBC, please send an email to observatory@umbc.edu to schedule an event. Please note that we require at least two weeks of notice before the intended event and that timing may depend on the weather and Observatory Group availability.
