Watch the digital story
Baltimore has long played an important role in the Civil Rights movement. Luminaries like Thurgood Marshall, Lillie Carroll Jackson, and Clarence Mitchell called our city home, and some of the most pitched battles to desegregate public space happened right here. Join Dr. Kate for a digital tour of Baltimore's parks through the lens of these struggles and learn about the fight to desegregate swimming pools, tennis courts, and the carousel at Gwynn Oak park, that now holds pride of place at the Capitol Mall.
